I recently stayed at Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort, and while the location is fantastic—just a short walk from the beach—the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The rooms felt dated and were not as clean as I'd hoped, and the water pressure fluctuated, which was quite frustrating. On the plus side, the large balconies were nice, and the staff made an effort to be helpful, but there were too many issues that overshadowed my stay.

I had mixed feelings during my stay at Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort. The location is fantastic, just across the street from the beach and surrounded by a sprawling garden, which I loved. The pool area is nice and spacious, but the hotel itself has some serious management issues, especially with enforcing their sunbed reservation policy. The noise from ongoing renovations was also a bit frustrating, especially on weekends.
